We had an amazing dinner at L’Essentiel. We tried the Menu Gourmand, all the plates where great, made with high quality ingredients. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

Pretty good restaurant with a good chef. Traditional French kitchen but a could do with a better wine pairing. We were there with some wonderful company which made the meal better. The lower ceiling makes for a slightly claustrophobic situation. Nevertheless, we had a good time.

We went to this restaurant twice during our stay in the region. One time we had the degustation menu and the other time the a la carte menu. All the dishes were nicely prepared with fresh ingredients. The menu isn't huge but all dishes are delicate and different to the standard fare you get around town. The service was good and the waitresses spoke good English, which was helpful in explaining the menu. The wine list was good and the local wine on the list are particularly good choices.

We went to this restaurant twice - yes, it's that good. The service was good and the waitresses spoke good English. Good food and nicely paired wine. The first evening, we thought we were early but we had the whole restaurant to ourselves!

We had a great dinner at L’essentiel! We had the tasting menu, and they even made different dishes for me due to allergies that were amazing! Our server was also very nice, our french is not the best so she was so kind to help us in english. Overall we had a great time! Merci beaucoup

We were a party of 6, including 2 young children. While we chose the degustation menu, the children were served tender chicken thighs and roast potatoes. Both white and green asparagus featured in our 6 course meal as the restaurant boasts of procuring fresh local produce served with seafood and meats cooked to perfection. Each of our dishes were delicately prepared, perfectly balanced, clearly explained and gracefully served. The desserts were particularly delectable.

We had great fun having the tastings memue here, coupled with wine pairing all with regional wines. Food and wines were just great, and the service was even better, with a lot of pride in the local products and patience explaining on the wine and grapes variety
